Major General Richard E. Webber, assistant deputy chief of staff, operations, plans and requirements, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., has been assigned as commander, 24th Air Force, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base.
Rear Admiral (lower half) Frank C. Pandolfe, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as director, Surface Warfare Division, N86, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C. The director, N86, is the proponent for Aegis missile defense and other programs on the Navy staff. Pandolfe is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Two.
Rear Admiral Victor Guillory, director, Surface Warfare Division, N86, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C., was assigned as commander, Fourth Fleet/commander, U.S. Naval Forces, U.S. Southern Command. Crane Aerospace and Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., announced the appointment of Simon Abel as director of sales, Standard Power for the Electronics Group. Abel will be responsible for the Field Sales organization and for driving sales in current and emerging markets. Major General William N. McCasland, director, Space Acquisition, Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, has been assigned as director, Special Programs, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Pentagon.
Brigadier General Susan K. Mashiko was selected for the rank of major general, vice commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, and has received orders to report for duty as director, Space Acquisition, Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon.
Integral Systems’ CEO John Higginbotham resigned his position. Paul Casner, a company board member, has been appointed interim CEO.
Brigadier General Samuel A.R. Greaves, has been assigned as vice commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command.
The board of MBDA approved the appointment of Jerry Agee, as chairman of the board, chief executive offi cer and president, MBDA. Agee will report directly to the Board of Directors of MBDA and functionally to the chief executive offi cer of MBDA, Antoine Bouvier. With corporate offi ces located in Washington, D.C., and Operations in Westlake Village, Calif., Agee will head a team of senior executives and lead the MBDA Group in the United States. He will be responsible for building U.S. corporate, military, government and industry relationships. ♦
