Brigadier General Tod D. Wolters
has been assigned from deputy commander, political-military affairs, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan, to director, air, space and information operations, Headquarters Air Force Space Command.

Brigadier General Stanley T. Kresge has been assigned from director, air, space and information operations, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, to commander, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base.


Northrop Grumman has named Scott Lee vice president of space systems for the company’s electronic systems sector. Lee will have executive responsibility for all space systems programs at the company’s Baltimore campus.


Alliant Techsystems (ATK) announced that the company’s board of directors has elected Blake Larson to be senior vice president and president, ATK Space Systems. Larson is a 27-year veteran of ATK and its former parent company, Honeywell International.


ATK also named Mike Kahn to the position of space systems executive vice president. Kahn has more than 20 years of strategic and operational leadership experience with ATK. He is currently executive vice president and general manager, Launch Systems.


Hughes Network Systems appointed Richard Lober vice president of defense and intelligence systems. Lober will be responsible for managing and expanding the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence programs for Hughes.


Air Force Research Laboratory scientist Dr. David Doman of the Air Vehicles Directorate was recently honored with the Royal Aeronautical Society Silver Medal for his work on a controls-based modeling approach for airbreathing hypersonic vehicles.


Aerojet announced that Ken Panos has joined the corporation as director of congressional relations. He will support Aerojet’s tactical missile, missile defense, space propulsion, homeland security and international sales market sectors.


William Hart has assumed leadership of the space business of Raytheon Co. Hart, who joined Raytheon in 1975, was named vice president for Space Systems. He succeeds Brian Arnold, who was appointed vice president for space strategy. ♦
